DEMA Supports Wisconsin-Lake Michigan National Marine Sanctuary

DEMA has actively supported the National Marine Sanctuaries since 1990, including testifying in 2008 before a House Subcommittee in favor of the reauthorization of the National Marine Sanctuaries Act.

Most recently, DEMA has been asked to support the creation of a National Marine Sanctuary in Lake Michigan along the coast of Wisconsin.

On June 18th, DEMA sent a letter to the Governor to express strong support for establishment of the proposed Wisconsin-Lake Michigan National Marine Sanctuary.
