Through The DAN Foundation®, Divers Alert Network® has created the EO2 Matching Grant in support of its efforts to provide emergency oxygen units to individuals, businesses and organization that have a connection to diving and a need of oxygen.
In 2015, DAN’s year-end fundraising contributions were dedicated toward the expansion of its Oxygen Grant and EO2 programs. In doing so, the foundation was able to provide more emergency oxygen units to those in need through the Oxygen Grant, as well as create a diverse emergency oxygen program that broadens the base of support and touches more of those in need.
Through the EO2 Matching Grant, The DAN Foundation will contribute 50% of the price of the oxygen unit. This grant is being offered to DAN members that serve the industry in a professional capacity – dive instructors, store owners, dive facility operators—of any level.
“We understand the critical role emergency oxygen plays in dive accident management and cannot overstate the importance of having a well-maintained and functioning unit on hand”, said Rachelle Deal, DAN’s Vice President of Marketing. Our goal with the EO2 Matching Grant is to further DAN’s mission of ensuring emergency oxygen is available at every dive site, on every dive boat and with every dive professional,” added Deal.
If you have a need for an emergency oxygen unit, you may submit your request by completing the online application at DAN.org/EO2Matching. As the number of matching grants is limited, DAN can only assist with the funding of one unit per individual or business, and shipping charges will apply. To learn more, email OxygenGrant@DAN.org.
