Earlier this month, Boutique Bonaire acquired Bamboo Bonaire, a gem of a resort on the island of Bonaire. Boutique Bonaire is a new company founded by David and Cisca Rietveld, who previously worked at Delfins Beach Resort before starting their own venture.

Bonaire has set its sights on becoming a boutique destination for quality tourism with only low-rise buildings. This inspired the Rietvelds to focus on the small and unique resorts that Bonaire has to offer. “No one has organized them yet, so we took up the challenge to do so, especially with existing small and unique resorts on Bonaire,” said Rietveld about the origin of Boutique Bonaire.
With the purchase of Bamboo Bonaire, Boutique Bonaire has added a true gem to its collection, bringing the total number of boutique units to 55, including Blue Bonaire Resort and Kura Kabana. The company is rapidly expanding its presence in the Unique Small Resorts market of Bonaire, with the ambition to grow to approximately 80 units by the end of the year, comprising about 8-9 resorts. Cisca and David are both visibly proud to have Bamboo Bonaire now included in their new company.
One of the highlights of Bamboo Bonaire is Chefs Bonaire, a culinary experience that will remain unchanged. Chefs Bonaire is a wonderful part of Bamboo Bonaire, and guests of Bonaire will continue to enjoy their delectable offerings, making them a valuable addition to Bamboo Bonaire.
