Well-known Industry Figure Al Hornsby signing his book, Face to Face: Up Close with Mother Nature During DEMA Show 2017

Special DEMA Show Price and a Donation to Project AWARE for Each Book Sold

Al will be at the 2017 DEMA Show, 1 – 4 November, to promote his book, Face to Face: Up Close with Mother Nature. The publication, released last year, has received international commendation for its striking images and wildlife encounter stories, accumulated over Al’s lifetime involvement in diving, nature, photography and writing.

Among the many people who have supported Face to Face, world-renowned environmentalist Jean-Michel Cousteau, who provided a Forward for the book, wrote:

Signed copies, at a special Show price, will be available, and a $5.00 donation will be made to Project AWARE for each book sold. Al Hornsby

Al Hornsby is a well-known diving and wildlife photographer, author and environmental advocate. Having learned to dive at the age of 12 when his family moved to the Pacific island of Guam, the course of his life has been driven by his combined loves of diving, wildlife and the natural world.

Al is PADI’s Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs.

Along with hundreds of published magazine articles, Al has authored two books, This Is the Caribbean and The Retail Dive Store: Management and Operations, and co-authored a third, Diving With Sharks. His ocean-related poetry is included in the anthology, Poets of the Deep, and he released an original music album, “Dolphin’s Dance” in 1990.
