Subway Watersports Christens Third New Dive Vessel in last 12 Months

Subway Watersports, the popular PADI 5-Star IDC on the island of Roatan, has just launched the LUCA vessel. The 36-ft boat is the third dive vessel to join the Subway Watersports fleet in the last 12 months. Earlier, the NOAH and LOLA went into service for divers staying at Turquoise Bay Resort.

According to Subway Watersports officials, the trio of boats were built by the same local company on the island (Martinez Power Boats) and bring the daily diver capacity to 80 diving guests. “The addition of these three boats brings our total fleet of vessels to six. This provides our staff with multiple options to best serve our diving guests on any given day,” said Jesus Reyes, General Manager.

He adds, “With the many groups that come to Turquoise Bay from around the world, it’s important for us to have flexibility. These vessels provide that and much more.” Turquoise Bay Resort and Subway Watersports host a variety of groups and special activities during the year including the annual Roatan Underwater Photo Festival which returns for a third year in September.

One of the fastest growing resort properties in the entire Bay Islands, Turquoise Bay Resort features a picturesque beach, spacious rooms with oceanfront views, exceptional dining and much more. For more details, visit the Turquoise Bay Resort website.
