Industry Mourns Nautilus Divemaster Nelson Cota Estrada

On Monday, February 27, 2017 Nelson Cota Estrada tragically passed away in a traffic accident.  He will be greatly missed by the diving and Nautilus community.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

We will always remember Nelson as one of our favorite Dive Masters.  His infectious laugh, extremely strong work ethic and over a decade of diving Socorro Island on both the Solmar and Nautilus left an impression on many many divers.  He was instrumental in the build of the Nautilus Belle Amie and the conversion of the Under Sea Hunter.  He was a very good man, a good friend and will be sorely missed.

The company founder, Captain Mike Lever stated, “Nelson was a long time member of our family and had previously worked on other liveaboards around Baha California.  Speaking on behalf of everyone of the local diving community, we are all going to really really miss him and will honour his memory.”
