Beginning November 2 in New Orleans, the IANTD team will welcome dive professionals to Booth #1928 to learn more about becoming an IANTD professional, crossing over existing instructor qualifications, affiliating a dive center or expanding into new areas of diver education.
For instructors who have wondered whether another training organization could offer additional opportunities, DEMA is the ideal time to find out. Crossing over to IANTD is about more than placing another agency logo on a certification card. It can provide instructors with access to a broad professional pathway that includes recreational scuba, specialty training, Nitrox, technical diving, rebreathers, overhead environments, public-safety programs and professional leadership development. It also gives instructors the opportunity to align themselves with a training philosophy centered on developing knowledgeable, confident and capable divers. “Many instructors reach a point where they want to expand what they teach, distinguish themselves professionally or become involved in areas of diving that their existing training pathway may not fully support,” said Luis Pedro, Prtesident of IANTD. “IANTD provides another option. DEMA gives us the opportunity to sit down face-to-face and discuss what that option could look like for each individual instructor or dive business.”
Dive retailers and training facilities are encouraged to have that conversation as well.
A strong continuing-education program can help a dive center maintain relationships with customers long after an entry-level course ends. As divers progress, additional education can lead naturally to specialty equipment, upgrades, servicing, gas fills, local diving, travel and additional professional instruction. IANTD’s wide range of programs allows facilities to support those customers through multiple stages of their development while positioning the dive center as an ongoing source of education, expertise and community.
Visitors to Booth #1928 can also learn about IANTD’s latest educational initiatives and professional resources, including instructor-development materials, eLearning options, audio-based educational content and IANTD Powered by DAN emergency-response programs. And DEMA should still be fun. IANTD will also offer special show opportunities on IANTD logo wear and selected merchandise, giving professionals and supporters another reason to stop by the booth during the show.
Whether you are actively considering crossing over, looking for a second training-agency affiliation, interested in becoming an IANTD facility, or simply curious about how IANTD has evolved, the IANTD team encourages you to visit. There is no substitute for sitting down and discussing your specific professional goals, your local market and where you want your diving career or business to go next.
