IANTD, the International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers is offering a comprehensive Instructor Training Program 15-19 May 2017 at IANTD World Headquarters in Lake City, Florida. Qualified candidates are invited to join the team to help certify the next generation of IANTD Instructors.
This 5 day Instructor Training Program (ITP) includes academic, pool, and open water sessions designed to train candidates as Instructor trainers to conduct IANTD Instructor Courses independently. Participants will have the opportunity to learn and refine teaching skills by presenting then being evaluated on Academic, Confined Water, and Open Water teaching presentations.
IANTD Headquarters staff will work directly with Instructor Trainer Candidates and will present additional topics such as:
- The Science of learning
- The business of diving instruction
- Increasing your Openwater and Continuing Education programs
- How to teach effective Academic, Confined, and Open water sessions
- How IANTD materials ensure knowledge development
- Documentation for Instructor programs
- Laws and risk management in instruction
- Diving emergency management
- Profiting from technical diver training
Upon successful completion of the ITP, graduates may teach and evaluate instructor level courses for all their approved levels in accordance with standards and conduct Crossover Programs for diving professionals.
