Divers Alert Network Honors Lee Selisky with Inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award

Lee Selisky, founder and CEO of Sea Pearls, Inc., a company that produces and manufactures weights for scuba diving, has received DAN’s newest honor: the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award for his service to the recreational dive industry.

“Lee Selisky has devoted his life to diving. Though most people know him as the founder and CEO of Sea Pearls, Lee is also well known for his active service on many industry boards, including DAN’s, over the years. His thoughtful counsel has helped guide this industry for more than 40 years,” said DAN President and CEO, Bill Ziefle. “His advice has proven valuable and we have benefited greatly from his service and experience. It’s my great honor to present him with this Lifetime Achievement Award.”

In addition to his work with the DAN Board of Directors, Selisky has served as DEMA president, as well as on the DEMA Board, and on the board of Ocean Futures, DEMA’s environmental foundation. He has also worked with the Historical Diving Society – USA, the Women Divers Hall of Fame, and the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame. Selisky is also passionate about the future of recreational diving and actively works to encourage young leaders to consider careers in the dive industry.

Selisky accepted the award during the NOGI Awards Gala at the 2017 DEMA Show in Orlando, Florida.
