Booth Space On-Sale at Baltimore/DC DiveShow 2018

USDiveShows LLC has announced booth space is now on sale for the Baltimore/DCDiveShow 2018, Friday evening, January 19, 4-8PM and Saturday, January 20, 2018 10AM-5PM at the Radisson Baltimore Inner Harbor Hotel in Baltimore, MD. Consumer tickets for the show will go on sale October 1, 2017.

“We are planning an exciting show in Baltimore this January,” said Brian Miller of Baltimore who has partnered with Brad Nolan of Harvard, IL to produce the 2018 show for the scuba diving retail market.

“We will feature a great line-up of area scuba dive retailers, dive clubs, travel wholesalers and resorts, instructional agencies and equipment manufacturers as exhibitors. There are seminars from local experts and specialists that will make this a fun learning experience for divers at every level”.  Miller added, “the show will feature some unique Internet activities, demonstrations and live music on the exhibition floor.”

The Cody Unser First Step Foundation (http://www.codysfirststep.org) will be featured as the keynote speaker Friday evening and make a presentation on how scuba diving has been such an important part of her therapy and treatment. Ms. Unser stricken with an auto immune condition called Transverse Myelitis in 1999 was left paralyzed.

Cody was treated for many years at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore. As a quality of life therapy Cody learned to scuba dive at her home town in New Mexico. Cody considers scuba a major factor in the recovery that she has experienced. So much so she convinced her doctors at Hopkins to do a conventional medical study on the neurological and psychological effects of scuba on the paralyzed body. Today the CUFSF extends this course of therapy via Hopkins and the Kennedy Krieger Institute to individuals with physical limitations.

Mr. Nolan produced Dive Chronicles Magazine and successfully ran USDiveShows from 2002 with a show last in Baltimore in 2011 when illness limited his involvement until this year with this new partnership. “Keeping divers active and diving has always been my goal” he said.

Mr. Miller retired after 35 years from Aqua Lung America in August 2016. He is now a marketing consultant for dive retailers and travel wholesalers.

Together the partners have over 60 years of experience in the dive business as instructors, store operators, travel leaders, manufacturer and sales management. Miller also produces DIVE HOPE Events, a breast cancer fund raiser in Ohio.
