Unique collaboration allows for new opportunities for industry professionals.

Dive News Network, a network of regional scuba diving magazines based near Seattle, Wash. is working with X-Ray Magazine, the world’s leading online dive publication based in the United Kingdom, to produce a special “drysuit” edition of their print and online magazines in October, 2010.

Using the major elements of a story that first appeared in the October, 2006  edition of X-Ray Magazine, DNN, under the direction of publisher Rick Stratton, will be developing several stories featuring different types of drysuits, and how to use them.  All drysuit companies are invited to contact Rick Stratton, rick@divenewsmag.com, and offer features and product benefits for inclusion with the editorial copy.

X-Ray, based in the U.K., and DNN, based in Seattle, both share an experienced diver readership familiar with cold water. Rick Stratton, DNN publisher, believes diving dry is essential to being comfortable in these northern waters.

“All our magazines focus on colder waters – Northwest, Midwest and Northeast Dive News - and our readers dive in colder waters,” said Stratton. “While some continue to dive wet, I believe that you just dive dry once and realize it is the ticket to adventure. By wearing a drysuit, you can concentrate on the beauty of diving because you’ve eliminated the cold.”

As for advertizing, of course, all companies will be invited to participate and are offered special incentives to be included.
